Conference Venues and Booking Services has been finding conference venues, event spaces and group accommodation since 1989. We work for organisations here in Australia and for teams briefing us from overseas, and we source wherever your event needs to be. Independently, and at no cost to the people we work for.
Tell Us About Your EventA booking site can only show you what is listed. We can tell you what is actually available, and what it is actually like, because we have been calling the same General Managers and Sales Directors since 1989.
That is thirty-seven years of four people picking up the phone, which is not something a search engine can index. It is why organisations that briefed us in the nineties are still briefing us now.
The rest of it is legwork. We walk the rooms ourselves, so when a venue reaches your shortlist we can tell you how the load-in works, where the natural light goes at three in the afternoon, and what will annoy your AV crew. Our venue visits are published here. Read them before you brief us.
That works past Australia too. The hotel groups we deal with here run properties right through Asia and the Pacific, and where the relationship is not ours it belongs to a partner we have worked alongside for years. It is why a brief that starts in Brisbane and finishes on an island in Fiji is the same phone call for us, and why organisations overseas hand us their events in this part of the world.
What we believe
- We only put forward what we can speak for. If we cannot tell you what a room is actually like to run an event in, it does not belong on your shortlist.
- You will hear the drawbacks too. Every venue has something worth knowing before you sign, and you should hear it from us at shortlist rather than find it on the day.
- Independence matters. We work for you rather than for any one hotel group, so our advice covers the whole market.
- Free should mean free. Our help costs you nothing, and your interests come first in every venue we put forward.
- One relationship, start to finish. The same person who takes your brief is there at the final invoice.
- We remember what worked. Decades of rates, venue knowledge and event history sit behind every shortlist and every negotiation.
