Hannah St Hotel Melbourne

Hotel19 Walker Street, Southbank VIC 3006

  • 2Conference rooms
  • 1Rooftop space
  • 188Rooms
  • 10Levels

Inspected by CVBS

A 188 room design hotel in the Queensbridge development on Walker Street, minutes from the convention centre without being in the convention precinct. Two conference rooms and a level ten rooftop event space, and the hotel publishes no capacity for any of them.

What it suits

Good for

  • Board level offsites and executive sessions in a room you have seen first
  • Launches and dinners wanting Southbank without the convention centre scale
  • Delegate room blocks a few minutes from the convention precinct
  • Programs where the hotel is the whole venue rather than a share of one

Look elsewhere for

  • Any brief that has to be shortlisted on published numbers
  • Large plenaries. Nothing here suggests scale
  • Trade exhibitions
  • Tenders that require capacity evidence in the submission

Accommodation

188 rooms and suites in the Queensbridge development, a few minutes walk from the convention centre. The hotel publishes no room sizes, no counts by type and no rate bands, so a block has to be quoted rather than looked up.

Where these figures come from, and why a dash is not a zero

A dash means the hotel publishes no figure for that setup. It does not mean the room cannot be set that way, only that we will not print a number the venue has not published.

Every figure is read from the hotel's own site and the Collection by TFE listing, checked 7 September 2026. Never estimated, never taken from a directory.

Where a venue’s own sources carry different figures, we use the current one and confirm it with the venue before it reaches a shortlist.

Bigger rooms in Melbourne

The hotel publishes no capacity at all, so anything with a delegate number attached to it starts somewhere that does. Each figure below is read from that venue’s own published material. This is not a survey of the whole Melbourne market, only the rooms we checked to make sure nothing on this page overstates the building.

Recent changes

The hotel publishes no capacity figures at all. Checked on 7 September 2026 against the hotel’s own site, the Collection by TFE listing, the TFE meetings portal and the TFE launch release. None of the four carries a floor area or a capacity for any space. That is why the table above is empty rather than estimated. Its events page at hannahsthotel.com/events/ also returns a 404, which is worth telling the hotel.

Opened summer 2025. Under Collection by TFE Hotels, in the Queensbridge development beside the Kings Way overpass.

Questions organisers ask

What size event can it hold?

The hotel does not say. It describes two conference rooms and an indoor rooftop event space on level ten, and publishes no floor area and no capacity for any of them. We checked its own site, the operator’s listing, the operator’s meetings portal and the launch release. All four are silent.

So is it worth considering?

For the right brief, yes. The rooms exist and one of them was set in a hollow square with a wall screen when we were there. What you cannot do is shortlist it on numbers, because there are none. It needs a call.

Is there accommodation on site?

Yes, 188 rooms and suites in the Queensbridge development on Walker Street, a few minutes from the convention centre without being inside the convention precinct.

When did it open?

Summer 2025, under Collection by TFE Hotels.

What should I ask the hotel?

The names and floor areas of the two conference rooms, their theatre, banquet, cabaret, classroom and u-shape figures, the same for the level ten rooftop space, whether the rooftop is exclusive hire only, and the ceiling height in the largest room.

Sources, photography and how we work

Capacities read from the venue’s own published material on 7 September 2026. Comparison figures read from each named venue’s own published material on the same date.

We do not see every room on every visit. Where we were not in a room, its figures come from the venue's own chart rather than from us. We do not rate or score venues and we do not publish rates.

Our service is free to you. We are independent of every venue we put forward, no venue is favoured, and your interests come first.
