A 349 room hotel at the northern tip of Barangaroo. Crown publishes three bookable spaces, and two of them hold forty. Everything above a private dinner happens in the Pearl Ballroom.

The event floor
The Pearl Ballroom is the only room in the building that takes more than forty people, so every conference, gala and awards night here happens in it. An expansive Pre-Function Foyer runs alongside it, and the ballroom divides into three for smaller events.
Accommodation
Group accommodation is half of what we do at a building like this, and it is the half a floor plan tells you nothing about. Crown Towers Sydney has 349 rooms, suites and villas above the event floor, which means a conference and its room block can sit in one lift core.

Pearl Ballroom tops out at 390 in one room, so a larger plenary belongs elsewhere in the city. Each figure below is read from that venue’s own published material. This is not a survey of the whole Sydney market, only the rooms we checked to make sure nothing on this page overstates the building.

Recent changes
February 2026. Oncore by Clare Smyth, the restaurant on level 26 that opened with the building and carried much of its profile, served its last dinner on 28 February 2026. A replacement had not been named at the time of the announcement.
Now trading. Golden Century has reopened inside Crown Sydney under the Wong family, and Crown has announced Én by Björn Frantzén for 2027. Any dinner or private dining proposal quoted off an older Crown Sydney page should be checked against the current restaurant list before it goes to a client.

What size event can it hold?
Pearl Ballroom seats 390 theatre, 340 for a banquet, 320 for a banquet with a stage, 280 cabaret, 125 classroom and 390 for a cocktail reception. It is the only large room in the building. The Opal Suite and The Pavilion each hold 40 for a cocktail reception.
How many event spaces are there?
Three bookable spaces, plus the Pre-Function Foyer beside the ballroom. The ballroom divides into three, but Crown publishes no capacity for the divisions.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes, 349 rooms, suites and villas in the same building as the event floor.
What is the ballroom’s floor area?
Crown does not publish a floor area, a ceiling height or the room’s dimensions for any of its Sydney event spaces. We get those from the venue directly when a program needs them.
Is it big enough for a large conference?
Not above 390 in one room. ICC Sydney’s Grand Ballroom takes 2,000 for a banquet, its Parkside Ballroom 1,400 theatre, Shangri-La Sydney’s Grand Ballroom 700 theatre and Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s Magnifique Ballroom 450 theatre.
